In the past, we’ve talked a little bit about how to prevent water damage in Grand Junction. (If you haven’t yet, be sure to check out our article about it here). But in today’s article, we’re going to talk about something a little different. We’ve been giving you a lot of tips on how to better protect your properties from disasters on our blog lately. (Check out our article on preventing mold growth in Grand Junction, for example.) But this week, we wanted to step away from the industry a bit. We wanted to talk about what has made Delta Restorations into what it is today: our customers. Back in August, we talked a little bit about Delta Restoration Services’ partnership with All Hands and Hearts. All Hands and Hearts is a nonprofit program that helps with disaster relief. (If you’re interested, take a look at our blog post here.) All Hands and Hearts is a volunteer-powered relief program that helps communities recover from disasters like floods, earthquakes, and tsunamis. In today’s article, we wanted to give you a few more details about our partnership. We also want to talk about how it helps local communities and what we’re doing to help. We’re incredibly proud of the partnership between Delta Restoration Services and All Hands and Hearts, and Part 2 of this series will give you a few more details. We’re so excited to work with All Hands and Hearts, and we can’t wait to tell you about our plans.
Just recently, we attended Delta’s National Convention in Portland, OR. We’ve been to other conventions held elsewhere in previous years—you can read about how well we did at Delta’s National Convention in 2018 in an article we posted here. Just as the Delta franchise has continued to grow, we've been hard at work improving our cleaning and restoration services over the past year. We’re a small part of a huge franchise (more on that later), and all the different Delta locations have been doing amazing work! This year’s convention focused on marketing and just how much the Delta franchise has grown. We’re proud to be a part of such a successful franchise, and we can’t wait to keep growing. In this article, we’ll talk about why marketing is so important for any company, how we’ve grown, and how we’re more dedicated than ever to serving our communities.
We’ve never been as focused on our customers as we are now. In 2018 we began the simple practice of following up with all our customers after we had completed disaster cleanup work for them. It’s easy to see reviews customers leave us from sources like Facebook and Google. People often leave comments when they’re especially happy or angry. But we wanted to hear the details of what our customers liked about us… and didn’t like so much as well. We’re always looking to get better, and we wanted to grow our business too. Luckily, we have some huge supporters in Grand Junction, and last year was a great success. For those of you who are interested, the following steps are just some of how we improved our customer service in the disaster cleanup industry and increased our open market volume by fifty percent.
This blog post is a bit different as we’re really covering two aspects of our business: 1) the fact that we are general contractors and why that’s both rare and helpful for anyone looking to hire a restoration contractor, and 2) the fact that we’re not just a restoration contractor any longer.
About the upcoming Summit: the Grand Junction Restoration and Remodeling Summit will be for not only insurance agents, but for realtors and property managers as well. The day’s education will feature Safelite Auto Glass (teaching Ethics), Delta Disaster Services of Grand Junction (teaching Roofing), Fairway Independent Mortgage (teaching on Renovation Loans), and potentially a title company with a class on title insurance. We are still working out the finer details, but classes will go from 8 AM to 4 PM.
